A very full Friday.

Still resting up, and today's one of my Writing Fridays, so I've had a slow morning and a lie-in, which was lovely (and hence the stock photo above, which is, actually, fairly indicative of the first hour or so of my day).

ON DECK: As this is my first full working day since going part-time, I've broken out the calendar and blocked out my day (roughly) so that I don't just spin my wheels all day. I'm the kind of person who finds this sort of thing very exciting. First up is working on my drafting quota for the main novel project (aiming for around 1,900 words - Update, got 2,049 words nice), then editing the next chunk of the same book for my critique partners and outlining for next week's writing.

In the afternoon I'm going to get started on a short story draft, write my February newsletter and put together my questions for the event I have with Neil Lancaster on the 10th of March. That one is at the end of the day (and hence most likely to be bumped), but that's okay because that event is over a week away.

LISTENING: My episode of the Binge Reading Book Club came out yesterday and it's a lot of fun - the producer and co-host Hugo did an incredible job editing our rambling and repetitions into a really good episode. Stick around for the post-credit bloopers in particular.

WATCHING: We started watching HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN FROM BELFAST on Netflix last night and really enjoyed it - two episodes in and we're in that excellent spot of being completely bamboozled about what's happening but very much happy to be along for the ride. It's extremely funny too.

READING: A bit more of THE INFINITE STATE (Bookshop.org, Waterstones, Amazon) by Richard Swan. It continues to be very ominous.

LINK: The new RPG actual-play podcast NARRATIVE DAMAGE (which I was recently involved with, recording the first scenario) has its first interview episode out, featuring Sydney Amanuel of the Glass Cannon network.

It's a fascinating episode. If you're interested in (or curious about) table top roleplay gaming, subscribe to the podcast feed and/or the Youtube channel, and you'll have me pretending to be a dissolute nobleman in late Victorian London to look forward to.

UP NEXT: The weekend, then, somewhat unbelievably, March. I know February is a short month but I feel like a week went missing somewhere.

Onward!
