It's NetGalley Time!
Still off my feet, so still enjoying a wee lie in and missing walking in the woods. But the later starts are really quite welcome, I won't lie. Hopefully I'll be back to the woodland walks next week.
I discovered this morning that SOLITARY AGENTS is now available on NetGalley UK!

This is both very exciting and a little daunting - I wrote this book before any of last year's excitement happened, so it was in bit of a vacuum of reader expectations. But now, well, I've had a lot of comments from readers very excited to read it.
If you're on NetGalley, you should be able to request it immediately. I hope you enjoy it! And don't forget to head over to my Links page to pre-order your copy!
ON DECK: A very reasonable 1,047 words this morning (a nice, consistent week for word count so far, which is good given I've been getting up later) and I've been putting two characters I never expected to meet into a scene together. It is a lot of fun to write them bouncing off each other.
LISTENING: A fascinating interview over on Scriptnotes, talking about what it's like to be nominated for an Oscar. I learned a lot about the whole ecosystem of short films and how that interacts with the wider movie industry.
WATCHING: We watched an episode of RESIDENT ALIEN (somehow we'd missed there were two more seasons?) and it's excellent, with Alan Tudyk continuing to be perfect in the lead role and an amazing supporting cast. Northern Exposure with aliens, is how I'd pitch it to you.
READING: More of THE INFINITE STATE (Bookshop.org, Waterstones, Amazon) by Richard Swan, including a beautifully described hypersled race that was giving me flashbacks to WIPEOUT on the PS2.
LINK: A great interview with author Nick Harkaway on what it was like to be raised by John Le Carré and how he feels picking up his mantle and continuing the story of George Smiley.
UP NEXT: Looking forward to my episode of the Binge Reading Book Club hopefully coming out later today, as well as a full writing day tomorrow. I've got a fair amount to do, including this month's newsletter. Subscribe if you'd like that in your inbox. And, of course, I'll keep pushing this book forward and tip over the 60k mark very, very shortly.
Onward!
