One bullet point at a time.

Pouring with rain first thing this morning, so I got some extra sleep (still recovering from Cymera) then got a bit of outlining done this morning.

I was really delighted yesterday to get a message from a bookseller I met at Harrogate last year, the wonderful Andreas from Waterstones Wimbledon. He told me he'd arranged a promo table and window spot for A RELUCTANT SPY, then sent photos. It's so incredible to get support like this from booksellers and it absolutely made my day.

ON DECK: I've resorted to my old friend, the bulleted list. Sometimes writing a bunch of bullets is the only way to get my brain moving on something when I'm staring blankly at a blinking cursor. Only 284 words, but they were in bullet points rather than prose, so it actually covered a fair whack of the story.

LISTENING: Loved this short 'coffee break' episode of The Conversation with Nadine Matheson, with the American crime writer S.A. Cosby.

WATCHING: Another episode of THE RESIDENCE last night. The cameos are hilarious and the Rashomon-style multiple retellings of the same events plot mechanism is great. Very worth your time.

READING: More of THE HIROSHIMA MEN. I'll be on trains on Thursday and Saturday (over six hours on trains on Thursday, oof) so I'm going to get it finished then.

LINK: My literary agency, DHH, included me in their news roundup this week! Lots of other great news for DHH clients in there as well.

UP NEXT: One more day in the regular routine, then I'm off to the races - Bloody Scotland launch on Thursday in Stirling, Capital Crime in London on Friday and Saturday (with a brief early-morning signing at Waterstones Wimbledon on Friday morning) and then back home for a day before heading off on a (much-needed) holiday for a couple of weeks.

There's also podcast interviews scheduled, exciting emails being sent that I can't talk about yet and a whole host of other things bubbling away in the background. Somewhere in there, I'll also start working on another book.

Onward!
