Daynote - Tue 27 May
So very nearly there.

Trust me, my desk doesn't look like this. But it's a nice thought, isn't it?
No walk this morning, despite the sun shining - got too involved in the edit.
ON DECK: I ended up adding 77 words this morning, but I also got nearly twenty (quite short) chapters ready to go. This is the big finale of PROJECT SCARLET, so there's a lot of POV-switching and a fairly frenetic timeline, but thankfully it seems to be mostly hanging together thanks to my earlier continuity editing.
LISTENING: I really enjoyed the latest episode of The Rest Is Entertainment, which talked about the recent changes at ITV as well as the current battles between Netflix and Youtube. I find the whole world of film, TV, radio, books and other media absolutely fascinating and this was a particularly good episode.
WATCHING: We got mostly caught up with THE LAST OF US last night (one episode behind now) and it was excellent - shattering stuff. Again I'm finding all the little tweaks in emphasis, plot order, characterisation and structure absolutely fascinating.
READING: More of BELIEVE yesterday. Loving the back and forth POV and the twists inside the twists.
LINK: I rather enjoyed this livewatch thread of LEGALLY BLONDE by the Secret Barrister over on Bluesky. Hat tip to Erin Hardee for the link.
UP NEXT: More editing. Nothing but editing. Just a solid, solid week of editing. But, I'm nearly there, and there's a tiny bit of drafting awaiting me at the end, as a treat. Then, unknown and unexplored horizons of Doing Something New. What is it? Who can say.
Onward!
