Guess what - more editing.

No walk this morning, since we had people coming early to do some work on the house, but a good writing session anyway. Slow-but-steady progress.

ON DECK: I got -202 words this morning, which was more of that 'flux' editing, back and forth, cutting a line here, adding a paragraph there, cutting another two paragraphs elsewhere. The progress in this kind of editing isn't really measured in words, because you bounce up and down inside the same 1-2k range, but more in the number of finished chapters you're stacking up behind you as you go. And I think I managed seven today. Short chapters, but good progress. I'm about halfway through Part 2 of PROJECT SCARLET.

LISTENING: I enjoyed this episode of The Conversation with Nadine Matheson, with the author Amanda Jennings. The sheer variety of ways that people get into writing is always absolutely fascinating.

WATCHING: We watched a bit of RACE AROUND THE WORLD last night, which is a real favourite of mine. But I have unbearable wanderlust after every episode.

READING: More INNOCENT GUILT from Remi Kone yesterday and it's twisted again. In a way I really, really didn't expect. So full marks on the subverting expectations scale.

LINK: We're halfway through May, which means we're also halfway through my Kindle/Audible Monthly Deal for A RELUCTANT SPY (UK, US).

An image of my book on Kindle, with 'Right place, right time, wrong man' to the left.

It's been doing pretty well in the charts, but I'd love to get my book into the hands of as many readers as possible, so if you want to pick up the eBook and/or audiobook for less than a pound apiece (or a buck, on the other side of the Atlantic), get on it!

UP NEXT: More editing. I'm hoping to finish Part 2 tomorrow, then hopefully nail the end of Part 3 by the end of the week. Onward!
