The Sitrep - Fri 23 Oct

A lovely Roman interlude (with occasional excitement)

Published by David Goodman in The Sitrep Share

I have had a very nice week off in Rome. I brought too many books and read two thirds of one of them, went for some very lovely runs along the Tiber, noodled on some plot ideas while ambling along cobbled lanes, ate a truly Herculean amount of gelato and saw some incredible history. Also, boy, the food. Wow, the food.

Here's a representative shot from my last run, last night, before coming back to our apartment in Trastevere to pack:

But of course publishing doesn't stop just because I'm enjoying some time off. So there's been (exciting!) emails, promos, thinking about new projects and more. Let's get into a week off that was busy anyway.
