Hi, I'm Dave Goodman, an award-winning novelist and short story writer based in East Lothian, Scotland. I write spy thrillers, science fiction and more.
I offer free and paid memberships, including three different regular newsletters, as well as occasional emails about new publications, sales, signed copies, events and other author stuff.
You can also buy me a coffee, if you'd like to support me directly but don't want to sign up for a membership.
The Newsletters
The Decrypt is my free, monthly newsletter. In cryptography, decrypts are the plain-text rendering of an encoded message. I hope this newsletter will function in a similar way, giving you a glimpse into the sometimes opaque realities of writing, publishing and life as a professional novelist.
The Sitrep is my weekly update for all paid subscribers. It comes out every Friday that I'm working on writing stuff and features more craft chat and behind-the-scenes sneak peeks of my works in progress.
The Vector is my fortnightly craft essay newsletter for Handler and Legend tier members, featuring longer craft, publishing and writing process pieces. It's published on the first and third week of the month (schedule permitting, but you'll get two a month).

Note that all subscribers, free and paid, will have commenting enabled - I'm experimenting with building a community here, and that means comments. I do, however, reserve the right to moderate those comments and enforce house rules. This website is the equivalent of my house, digitally-speaking, and if you take a metaphorical shit on the carpet, I will kick you out.
