Yep! It's tomorrow! Still doing fine! Sort of!

This week we've had some lovely mentions in the press, some more great Netgalley reviews and the news that ticket sales for my launch event have been really good! I'm looking forward to seeing you there, if you're coming along.

I am nervous but excited.

ON DECK: Zero words today - got up late due to a very nice anniversary meal out last night, did some reading for my Cymera panel on Saturday, made the above graphics. In launch week, you just do what you're able to do and be kind to yourself. Or at least that's what I tell myself.

LISTENING: Loved this episode of SFFAddicts with Isabel J. Kim, talking about her debut novel SUBLIMATION. Isabel and I started publishing short stories around the same time, shared TOCs in a couple of Clarkesworld issues and beta-read each other's books (not this one, I read what I think is the next one), so I'm really chuffed to see her debut coming out. Congrats Iz!

WATCHING: No telly last night, too busy eating too much delicious food.

READING: More of THE LAST CONTRACT OF ISAKO by Fonda Lee (Bookshop, Waterstones, Amazon) and I'm right into the thick of the plot now. Extremely enjoyable SF.

LINK: Speaking of Isabel J. Kim, here's a Big Idea article about SUBLIMATION over at John Scalzi's site - it's a fascinating science fictional concept that is wrapped up in some fantastic prose.

UP NEXT: Launch day tomorrow! I have a lot of driving to do (to Stirling and back for a podcast recording and the Bloody Scotland launch) which is good because it will keep me distracted from refreshing Amazon SalesRank and other such mostly meaningless quasi-metrics.

Then Cymera! I can't wait.

Onward!
