Daynote - Mon 20 Oct
Back to the routine.

Back on it this morning. I had an early meeting today, so no walk, meaning the leaves above are stock photography (though representative of the woods near me). We did get out for a nice walk on Sunday though. A proper October chill in the air. Lovely.
ON DECK: A very solid 1,366 words this morning on DRIFT. Pushing the work forward slowly but surely.
LISTENING: I enjoyed this interview with Peter James on the Quick Book Reviews podcast - the recent food-themed episodes are a hoot.
WATCHING: A bit of SLOW HORSES over the weekend, which was great. I'm enjoying seeing all the little tweaks from the book version.
READING: More of QUANTUM OF MENACE over the weekend, which is unfurling beautifully - lots of short chapters and different POVs that are drawing me in very effectively.
LINK: I enjoyed this post from The Honest Editor about Frankfurt Book Fair - worth a read if you've always wondered what goes on at the big industry rights fairs. Note that AWS is currently having a big outage that's affecting lots of sites, including The Honest Editor, but it's worth leaving open in a tab for later.
UP NEXT: A week on the usual schedule which I'm looking forward to immensely. Going to get a whole bunch of sleep, write a whole bunch of words and take a whole bunch of walks. Can't wait.
Onward!
