In town once again.

I'm off into town today with the dayjob, so no woodland walk and no writing this morning (yet). Might get a bit done after this entry, then a bit on my lunch break, then a bit on the way home. One of the many reasons I don't miss regular commuting is the way it chops up your day into barely-usable bits. Always easier to scroll on your phone than, say, write some words or read a book. But if you look, you can still find little fragments of time. As long as you can get a seat, of course.

ON DECK: No words yet, but I'll be working on DRIFT when I do get going. Hopefully a couple of hundred words before I get off this train, and more later. (Update - 1,185 in two sessions in a cafe and on a train. Not bad!)

LISTENING: Loved this episode of the Read and Buried Podcast, which is a live interview with Elly Griffiths and L.V. Matthews.

WATCHING: A bit more SLOW HORSES last night. Great stuff. Very much enjoying the depth and nuance Gary Oldman brings to Jackson Lamb. And Christopher Chung is hilariously pitiable as Roddy Ho.

READING: More of THE SOCIETY OF UNKNOWABLE OBJECTS yesterday. I've forgotten to bring it with me today, so no train reading for me.

LINK: Against my better judgement I'm giving Critical Role a go, in its fourth season. It's intense stuff.

UP NEXT: Day jobbing in Edinburgh, then dogminding, reading and writing this weekend! Onward!
