Daynote - Tue 9 Dec
Good morning London!
I'm stealing John Scalzi's schtick of posting pictures of his hotel window view this morning, as I woke up in London after a day job event yesterday. It's a somewhat uninspiring view, I won't lie. But it was a pretty comfortable night.
ON DECK: I'm due back in the office shortly and I need to hunt down some breakfast, so no writing this morning, but I will be kicking around London this evening and I'm intending to do some outlining while I wait for the sleeper back to Scotland.
I will also see if I can track down a few paperback copies of A RELUCTANT SPY to sign in various bookshops. None shall escape my pen.
LISTENING: Several of the podcasts I listen to are doing advent calendar short seasons in December, including the excellent Coode St Podcast. Yesterday's episode with Isabel J. Kim is a great one, but they've all been good.
WATCHING: No telly last night since I was out with my colleagues. And tonight I will be stalking bookshops.
READING: I'm beta-reading a short story and a novel at the moment, so nothing to report here either!
LINK: I was lucky enough to be included in Jeff Popple's excellent roundup posts of the best crime and thriller debuts last year and he's back this year with another excellent post for your TBR.
UP NEXT: Off to work, then wandering around London tonight, sleeper, then I'll be home tomorrow morning. I am looking forward to that, quite a lot.
Onward!
